Dancer Of The Year 2001
Stacy Patterson from Fiona McKitterick School of Dance in Glengormley Northern Ireland
Following in the footsteps of her stable mate, Thomas Hawkes, Stacy Patterson ensured that the 'Dancer of the Year' title stays at the Fiona McKitterick School of Dance in Northern Ireland.
Stacy danced her personal best at the National Championships in Bundoran in both her Solo outings and of course in the big event of the weekend, the 'Dancer of the Year 2001'.
At 20, Stacy saw off competition from fellow dancers as young as 7 years and up. In the end there was only 4.5pts between herself and the joint 2nd places.
A very emotional Stacy fought back the tears to accept her awards that included a Hi-fi System, a Freestyle Costume sponsored by 'Unique' of Scotland, Free admission to all Dance Supreme events in 2002, flights and accommodation at EuroDance next year and of course the 'DOTY' Shield and Perpetual Cup.
